#MOFORMENTALHEALTH - 
7 MONTHS, 7 CHALLENGES, 1 MOUSTACHE, 1 REASON

In May with 5 days notice I decided to shave my beard, leave my mo, start a fundraiser for the remainder of 2020 and announce my first of 7 challenges in the spur of the moment with zero training, very little preparation and whole lot of the unknown ……. My first challenge a 100 mile run in 24 hours throwing my self in the deep knowing each and every challenge beyond will have to be just as challenging. WHY ? To raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention. To show people that people do care, people are there to reach out to and to show that people will do crazy things to let you know that your life counts and that your mental health can improve giving you an amazing life ahead. Aiming to create awareness to check in on those in your life and reach out to those in your life or organisation like PYMS (Peel Youth medical services) at anytime. Letting people know that organisations like PYMS who deal directly on a daily basis with mental health and suicide prevention exist and over the next 7 months showing exactly it is that these organisations do. If we can make one persons challenge with mental health better and save one life I will consider this whole journey a success. Follow the journey, get involved and any donations however big or small are welcome.

CHALLENGE 4

PROJECT BLUFF KNOLL - a short bike ride 

SATURDAY the 12th of march we get underway with CHALLENGE 4 to continue to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, encourage people to reach out, check in, make mental health a part of everyday conversation and BREAK THE STIGMA around depression, anxiety

CHALLENGE 1 - 100 Mile run CHALLENGE 2 - 48 hour community walk CHALLENGE 3 - 24 Hour Ski erg which takes us to CHALLENGE 4 ..... We thought it would be a good idea for a little #Moformentalhealth tour de bluff knoll with a 400 km bike ride with an attempt to get of bluff knoll all within 24 Hours. Can it be done who knows be but we will do what we can. If i have learnt anything it is tired or not there is not time to lose focus and creating your own motivation/drive is a must to maintain a pace needed to achieve the goal. Only 3 weeks notice for this one we have hit the road only once by bike and dodging roos and road trains is going to give us some good stories to tell the grandchildren on the ride to raise awarenes for mental health and suicide prevention.
